Alumnus bequeaths €4 million to Univ. Amsterdam fund
The foundation Amsterdam University Fund received 4 million euros from the estate of a University of Amsterdam alumnus. According to the university, it is the highest donation ever received from an individual, ANP reports. The money came from the estate of Trudie Vervoort-Jaarsma, who died last year. She lived studied psychology at the University of Amsterdam in the 60's. According to the university, the money can be used for hundreds of scholarship and give UvA education and research a boost.
