Some 180 Dutch stuck in Dubai after plane malfunction

A group of 180 Dutch travelers have been stuck in Dubai since Saturday. Their TUI flight had to turn around shortly after departing on Saturday due to a defective wing flap, a spokesperson for travel company TUI said to ANP. The passengers were booked into a hotel. According to the spokesperson, TUI is working very hard to get everyone back to the Netherlands on Monday. "It's all taking longer than planned, but that's because a technical component first had to be flown in. The communication is a bit difficult because we do not have a tour guide at the scene. But we are now sending text messages to keep people informed. We are working on getting people back today." the spokesperson said to the news wire.
