Giant Rotterdam staircase climbed by 100,000th visitor

A massive 100 thousand people climbed The Stairway on Stationplein in Rotterdam since mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb opened it a week and a half ago, NOS reports. The Stairway leads to a temporary lookout point on the Groot Handelsgebouw. It was built to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Rotterdam's reconstruction after World War II. An average of 1,000 people climb those step per hour. The Stairway will be on Stationplein until June 12th.
