Water main break floods Den Haag shops

A water main break in The Hague city center flooded several streets, shops and houses on Thursday. The police closed a number of streets in the city center, according to ANP. The area between the Beirkade, Kranestraat, Spui and Amsterdamse Veerkade is completely closed to traffic. Technicians from drinking water company Dunea stopped the leak so that repairs to the burst water pipe can begin. According to Dunea, about 100 buildings currently have no water. The pipe in question is quite large and repairs will take some time.
