Alleged "masked man" in Amsterdam Noord sex assault arrested

The police arrested a suspect in connection with a sexual assault in Amsterdam-Noord on April 16th. The suspect, a 28 year old form Amsterdam, was arrested on Tuesday.

The victim, a young woman, was attacked by a masked man on Benedenlangs early on Saturday, April 16th. The perpetrator raped and beat her, leaving her with injuries on her head and arms.

An extensive investigation into camera footage of the incident led the police to the 28 year old suspect. He is in custody and will be arraigned on Friday.
