Missing Norwegian man found dead in water near Amsterdam cafe

The body of missing Norwegian Kay-Morton Rasmussen was found in the water of the Dijks canal in Amsterdam on Wednesday afternoon. His body was found near Hannekes Boom - the waterfront cafe where he was last seen on April 8th. The police received a report of a body in the canal around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Fire brigade divers removed the body from the water and the police immediately set about identifying him. Investigation showed that it was indeed the missing man. His family was informed about the sad news. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Rasmussen's death and how he came to be in the water. So far there are no indications that a crime was committed.
