Schiphol safety "inadequate": Airport, Air traffic control criticized

The cooperation between Schiphol Airport and Air Traffic Control is "inadequate" in the field of safety and both parties are insufficiently aware of the risks that entails, according to the Dutch Safety Board. The number of dangerous situations at the airport increased significantly - from 17 to 41, the Telegraaf reports. The Safety Board points to an argument between the two parties, which took five months to settle. That illustrates that the cooperation between Air Traffic Control and Schiphol is "inadequate", according to the Safety Board Both the airport and Air Traffic Control claim that the incident is behind them and cooperation is improving.
