Suspects blame each other for murder of Colombian man found in wheelie bin

Two men and one woman are facing the Rotterdam court on Monday for their part in the murder of Colombian Dagoberto Gil Rodriguez. Rodriquez was found dead in a wheely bin in the waters of the Nieuwe Waterweg in Vlaardingen in October 2014. All three suspects deny killing the Colombian man All four suspects are suspected of involvement in Rodriguez death. The victim was a drug dealer and justice believes he was killed in a so-called rip-deal. Fourth suspect Abdelilah E. (27) is not present in court. Rodriguez was killed in a home on Hoofdweg-Zuid in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel in August 2014, where suspect Patricia G. lived with a number of other people. His body spent a night in the bathroom before being stuffed in a wheely bin. The bin spent some time in storage, before being weighed down and dumped into the waters of the Nieuwe Waterweg. Prime Suspect Loretto B. (40) is suspected of murdering Rodriguez, hiding his body and possession of ecstasy. The Prosecutor believes the victim was lured to Patricia G.'s house, where he was drugged so that his car, and the drugs in it could be stolen. The drugging failed and Rodriquez left. He was called back and shot with a shotgun in the bathroom. Loretto B. claims to know nothing about Rodriquez' murder. "I find it terrible what happened", he said to the court. He also claims that he never touched Rodriguez' body. He had nothing to do with the case, he said. He only organized a storage unit in Vlaardignen, where the bin and body was placed in storage. According to him, he arranged the storage "because i needed time to think". He also helped with the transport of the bin and the dumping of the body. According to him, Patricia G. is behind the murder. Patricia G. pointed the fingers to Loretto B. and third suspect Ravin B. as those responsible for Rodriguez' murder. According to her, Loretto ordered her to drug the victim, and to get him back to the house when the drugging did not work. Loretto ordered her to shoot the victim. She said she was threatened and therefore cooperated in the plan. Ravin B. shot Rodriguez, according to her. "I didn't do it", Ravin B. told the court. He claims that he joined the party only after Rodriguez was dead. According to him, he only helped hide the body as a favor to Loretto B. and Patricia G. is only trying to put the blame on him.
