Over 6.8 million tax returns filed on time

The Tax Authorities received over 6.8 million tax returns before the deadline of April 4th. That is nearly 980 thousand more than were received around this date last year, NU.nl reports. Everyone who filed their tax returns before Monday's deadline, will get a guaranteed response before July 1st. Those who haven't filed their returns as of yet have no guarantee on when they will receive their response. If they owe the Tax Authorities money, they will have to pay interest on the amount.
