Family rescued from car crushed between trucks on Dutch highway
Emergency services rushed to rescue a family after their car got stuck between two trucks in a collision on the A16 near Breda on Monday morning. The family, consisting of mother, father and two young children, were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown.
The accident happened around 10:00 a.m. on the A16 between Hazeldonk and Breda. The family's car became trapped after a rear-end collision. The car's doors were blocked and the fire department had to free the people inside.
According to the Telegraaf, firefighters first freed the two children and then their parents. At first glance they seem to have sustained only minor injuries, but they were transported to the hospital to be examined.
The road between Hazeldonk industrial estate and the Galder junction is closed while the accident is being cleaned up.
