Bilthoven fire kills one, injures three

One person was killed in a fire in a home on Enckelaan in Bilthoven on Tuesday morning. Three other residents of the building managed to escape and were taken to the hospital, a spokesperson for the local safety office confirmed to news wire ANP. The house was completely destroyed. Surrounding homes were evacuated. The cause of the fire is still unknown. According to newspaper AD, the victim who died in the fire is the household's mother, a woman of around 50. Father, daughter and son were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. The son also hurt his foot when jumping through a window.
