Bill Gates to address the European Union in Amsterdam speech

Microsoft founder Bill Gates will be giving a speech at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam on Tuesday as part of the European Union summit that started in the city earlier this month, AT5 reports. State Secretary Sander Dekker of Education managed to bring the multimillionaire and philanthropist to Amsterdam to speak about the importance of the accessibility of research results. Gates is known to donate to various research projects, always under the condition that the results are made public. Dekker agrees wholeheartedly with this standpoint. He feels that results of publicly funded research must be widely accessible.
