British fugitives tied to Rotterdam cocaine trafficking hub

Two British drug dealers, Robert Gerrard and Michael Moogan, used Rotterdam cafe De Ketel as a control room to arrange safe passage for drug shipments from South America. Two Turkish brothers will stand trial next year for running this cafe, British newspaper Independent reports. Gerrard and Moogan went on the run after the cafe was raided in 2013 and have not been caught since. They are on the Operation Return list of British criminals believed to be in the Netherlands, specifically in or around the Amsterdam region. According to the newspaper, the cafe served as a meeting point for criminal gangs to arrange deals. The Turkish brothers took commission for introducing players in the drug world to each other. At least two British gangs definitely made use of the cafe and the police believe that drug traffickers from Spain, the Netherlands and South America also did so.
