The KNMI issued a code yellow weather warning for strong winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour in the northwestern parts of the Netherlands. The warning will be in effect between 6:00 p.m. and midnight.
The KNMI code yellow weather warning applies to the coastal areas of Noord-Holland, Friesland and the Wadden area. There is a chance of a southwestern-storm in the Wadden area. According to RTL, the wind will reach code yellow speeds all along the western coast, including Zuid-Holland, along the eastern edge of the IJsselmeer and possibly in Zeeland, with the worst of it hitting IJmuiden and Zandvoort.
The wind will die down during the night and will not bring cold temperatures with it. Afternoon temperatures are expected to rise to 11 degrees. There is a chance of some showers during the afternoon, especially in the west of the country.
Tuesday will be even milder with a maximum of 13 degrees expected with some rain.
