Princess Amalia guard's gun found in middle school bathroom

Princess Amalia's bodyguard accidentally forgot her service weapon in the bathroom at Sorghvliet school on October 13th, the school confirmed on Thursday. Another student found the weapon and informed the officer in question, AD reports. The school emphasized that the weapon was never in the hands of any student and that the officer quickly retrieved it. The officer in question works for the police department Surveillance and Protection, formerly the Royal and Diplomatic Security service. The department is responsible for protecting the Royal Family, politicians, diplomats and other dignitaries. A spokesperson for the police called the incident "an unfortunate moment of inattention" to the newspaper.
