Origin of pig heads at asylum site still unknown
The origin of the 14 pig's heads dumped at the Eschmarkerveld, where the municipality of Enschede plans to build a center to house 600 refugees, is still unknown. No one reported them missing, police spokesperson Frank Brouwer said to AD.
The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority is investigating the origin of the heads using the identification numbers on the ear- and slaughter tags that were still attached.
According to Brouwer, the police have "an idea" where the heads came from. "But even more interesting is investigating how the heads ended up at the asylum center terrain."
