Dutch teens stabbed on Malta recovering well
Two Dutch teenagers were wounded in a stabbing in Malta on Sunday. One of them was seriously injured. Both boys are currently out of life threatening danger and recovering well, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Dutch embassy has made contact with them.
The stabbing happened around 04:00 a.m. on Sunday on St. George's Road in St Julian's, an entertainment district on the island, local police told RTL Nieuws. The two Dutch boys, aged 18 and 19 years old, were two of the total of five people injured. The other three wounded are two Libyans, aged 31 and 38 years and a 20 year old Maltese.
The Maltese police arrested the perpetrator, a 20 year old Libyan, after a raid. So far nothing is known about his background.
