Drunk driver crashes into siblings killing man, 23; sister in critical cond.

An accident with a drunk driver during the early hours of Sunday morning has left a 23 year old man dead and his 18 year old sister critically injured. The accident happened around 02:30 a.m. on Sunday in Aalsmeer, according to NOS. The siblings were cycling home from the festival week when they were hit by the drunk driver. The man sustained serious head injuries and died at the scene. His teenage sister is in critical condition in the hospital. The driver, a 44 year old man from Rijsenhout, was arrested. He was also in Aalsmeer for the festival. He had twice the maximum permitted amount of alcohol in his bloodstream.
