Man crushed to death by his own car

A man was crushed to death by his own car at the entrance to a parking garage on the industrial area Papendorp in Utrecht on Wednesday morning. The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. at the gates to a car park for several companies, AD reports. Camera images shows that the man arrived in front of the gates and tried to enter, but the gates would not open. He got out of the car to ask for help at the intercom and while he was talking to the security guard, his car started rolling. The man tried to jump back into his car, but failed. The car rolled about 20 meters, with the man running along side it, half in and half out of the car, and finally came to a stop against a concrete post. The man was crushed between the car and the post and died of his injuries at the scene.
