Rotterdam police investigating explosive house attack

The Rotterdam police are investigating an explosion at a house on Versijdenstraat in Provenierswijk in the early hours of Wednesday morning. No one was injured in the explosion, RTV Rijnmond reports. The resident of the house was woken by a loud bang around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. She got up to see what was going on and found that something had exploded at her front door. The police have performed a forensic investigation at the house. According to RTV Rijnmond it is likely that someone had placed an explosive device in front of the door. A significant amount of damage was done to the front door and hallway of the house.
