Bomb from WWII found near Eindhoven football stadium
An unexploded World War II bomb was discovered during excavation works on Mathildelaan in Eindhoven, near the Philips Stadium, on Wednesday morning. The bomb was discovered around 8:30 a.m. and the road has since been partially closed.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal has checked the bomb and concluded that the removal will pose no immediate risk, NOS reports. The EOD will remove the bomb later this afternoon.
The police station and the railways to Tilburg and Den Bosch are also located near the site where the bomb was found.
