Transavia pilot attacked by drunk passengers

A Transavia pilot was assaulted by two passengers last week after a flight from Amsterdam to Barcelona. The two passengers - a man and a woman - were arrested by authorities in Barcelona, RTL Nieuws reports. The incident happened just after the plane had landed. The pilot reproached the two passengers on their behavior on the plane - they were under the influence of alcohol and refused to follow the cabin crew's instructions. The two passengers did not take this well and attacked the pilot. The pilot's injuries were treated on the spot. He filed charges against the two. A spokesperson for Transavia told RTV Noord-Holland that this kind of behavior is not accepted by the airline. The pilot and his crew have since returned home. The pilot was able to perform the return flight to Schiphol himself.
