Zeeland mussel season starts next week

Zeeland mussels will be available everywhere from next week. This was announced after the successful testing of some samples in Oosterschelde and the Wadden Sea, NU reports. Mussel fishermen tested samples from their parcels in Oosterschelde and the Wadden sea on Monday and Tuesday. According to the Dutch Mussel Bureau, the quality is so high that the season can start on Wednesday, July 8th. The mussels will be caught in the coming days and sold on the mussel auction.
