Wilders Mohammed cartoon short film broadcast
The PVV video containing cartoons of Prophet Mohammed was broadcast on national television on Wednesday.
The video was shown on NPO1 just before 6:00 p.m. during the Broadcasting Time for Political Parties, RTL Nieuws reports.
PVV leader Geert Wilders started the video by saying: "The only way to show terrorists they will not win is by doing what they want to prevent us from doing." According to him, the purpose of the video is not to provoke people, but to defend freedom of expression.
Wilders made the video after the Tweede Kamer, lower house of parliament, refused to exhibit the cartoons in parliamentary buildings. The video was supposed to be broadcast on Saturday, but due to a mistake, an older PVV video was shown instead.
The video was immediately placed on YouTube and has been viewed more than 136 thousand times.
