Stabbed man collapses, dies at supermarket; one arrested

A man was stabbed to death on Nieuwe Bouwlingstraat in Oosterhout on Friday morning. A possible suspect has been arrested. The police are investigating whether this suspect was involved in the stabbing. The police received a report that a man with serious stabbed wounds was stumbling on the street around 9:15 a.m. on Friday. The man collapsed in front of the Jumbo supermarket, Omroep Brabant reports. Emergency services responded and tried to resuscitate the man, but their efforts were in vain. The identity of the victim is still unknown. A passerby found a bunch of keys and the casing of a Leatherman pocket knife with blood on it near the victim. These items were handed over to the police. The police cordoned off the street and launched a major investigation, including searching the area with dogs and a helicopter. Officers also entered a house across the street from the supermarket. Why they did so is unclear, but local residents told Omroep Brabant that the police visited the house regularly.
