Take a selfie with a conductor to show #TrainRespect
Five first year students from the Academy of Pop Culture have launched a Facebook page where people can post selfies taken while shaking the hand of a conductor with the hashtag #TreinRespect. With this they hope to get more respect for conductors after the resent series of violence against them.
According to NOS, the Facebook page was launched as part of a school assignment in which the students must get 500 likes by end June. The #TreinRespect Facebook page already has more than 1,750 likes, with dozens and dozens of people posting selfies with train conductors.
"It's clearly going better than expected", Melanie Esther van Eunen, one of the initiators told NOS. "It is going well and we are very busy with handling all the messages. With all the media attention more and more people learn about our Facebook page. We will probably continue this after the assignment is over."
