Fake cops sought in Rotterdam robbery
A 66 year old man was robbed in his home on Stormerdijk in Rotterdam by three armed men dressed as police officers on Saturday night.
The three men knocked on the victim's window around 11:30 p.m. Looking through the window, the Rotterdam man saw that they were wearing dark colors with yellow stripes and opened the door, thinking that they were police officers.
The intruders the man over the head, entered his home and threatened him with a firearm. They ransacked his home and fled with various valuable items, including jewelry.
The victim had to go to the hospital to have his head wound treated.
The police have launched an investigation into this robbery, including a neighborhood investigation and a trace evidence investigation at the victim's home.
