Dutch jihadist involved in terrorists merger

A Dutch jihadist may be involved in the possible merger of terrorist organizations Islamic State in Syria and Iraq and Al-Shabaab in Somalia. According to the Telegraaf, the jihadist is Abu Bashir Muaadh, but also uses the name Taymullah al-Somali. He is featured in a video in which in which ISIS invites the Somali fighters from Al-Shabaab to join the Islamic State. NRC reports that the man, who is almost completely blind, is originally from Somalia but lived in Groningen for some time. The newspaper also states that his identity has not yet been confirmed.
