Plane makes emergency landing on farmer's field
A small sports plane had to make an emergency landing on a farmer's field between Etten-Leur and Hoeven on Monday afternoon. According to the police, no one was injured.
The police are investigating the incident. At this stage they believe that a technical fault was to blame. The pilot had to take a breathalyzer test, which show that he had not been drinking. The police has questioned the pilot, and so far he is not facing any form of punishment. A spokesperson for the police told BN De Stem that there were three people on board.
The plane took off from Breda International Airport. According to the newspaper, the pilot noticed that there were technical problems with the plane at takeoff. He decided to make an emergency landing after getting an alarm code.
