Knife-wielding screaming man rips up Rabobank

The Rabobank in Bergambacht had to deal with a very unusual customer on Tuesday - a screaming man wielding a knife. The man, 43 years old from The Hague, was arrested after doing some damage to the interior of the bank. The man entered the bank around 1:30 p.m. and started threatening the staff with a knife. Screaming, he also threatened to harm himself and vandalized the property. The man then cut himself on the body. Multiple units of the police arrived and managed to arrest the man. They handcuffed him and took him outside to be checked over by the paramedics. The cut he gave himself was not serious, but he was still transferred to the hospital under police supervision. Both the bank's employees and other bystanders were shocked by the incident. The police have offered them counselling. The motive behind this bizarre incident is unknown.
