Mom apologizes for son's Remembrance Day outburst

The mother of one of the teenage boys that disturbed the Remembrance Day 2 minutes silence in Hoofddorp on Monday, has offered the Dutch nations her apologies. The woman told RTV Noord Holland that she mostly feels embarrassed. "I can not believe that he deals so disrespectfully with people", she said. "That he can not muster the decency to be quiet for those two minutes." The boy, "Daniel", has been living in youth institutions for the past five years due to his behavioral problems. The mother told the broadcaster that she had to put him out of her house because she was afraid that he would hurt his siblings. She does not find the fact that her son is now wanted by the police the most worrying. "What I find frightening is that whole groups wants to do something to him. That makes me very scared. I do not want my other children to suffer." Hoofddorp mayor Theo Weterings called the behavior of the group of teenagers "unacceptable" on Twitter on Tuesday. He stated that the police are investigating and those involved will be held accountable, or their parents if they are minors. https://twitter.com/TheoWeterings/status/595505786308157440 https://twitter.com/TheoWeterings/status/595511105969135617
