Purported ISIS member claims responsibility for Texas shooting
An purported ISIS member has claimed on Twitter that the terrorist organization was behind the shooting outside the event in Garland, Texas on Sunday.
The event was a competition for the best prophet Muhammad cartoon. The two gunmen involved in the shooting were killed by the Garland police. One security officer was shot in the ankle. PVV leader Geert Wilders was the keynote speaker at this event.
"Two of our brothers have just opened fire on the prophet Mohammed-art exhibition in Texas! #TexasAttack" Abu Hussain Al Britani tweeted, according to the AD. This account has since been removed. Other tweets included: "The brothers in Texas may have no experience in shooting but they was quick to defend the honor of the Prophet Muhammad", "And know that every time you inslut the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w we will respond harshly, from Paris to Texas you are not safe at all" and "They Thought They Was Safe In Texas From The Soldiers of The Islamic State".
So far there has been no verification that this Abu Hussain Al Britani is in fact connected with the terrorist organization ISIS. It has also not been determined that there was a religious motive behind the attack.
