Schiedam "Swastika" logo concept causes commotion

The concept for the new Schiedam logo has caused quite a fuss among local politicians. The recently presented concept is supposed to be a windmill blade, but looks a bit like a swastika. "If you look at it quickly, it can also evoke very different associations", D66 Councillor John van Sliedregt said about the concept, AD reports. Andreas Rose of Gemeente Belangen Schiedam even called the logo "worthless" Alderman Alexander Steenderen emphasized that the logo is only a concept and still needs a lot of work. "We still have to talk to all parties and will definitely consider certain associations", he said.
