Hit-and-run leaves scooter rider dead

A moped rider died early Sunday morning after a hit-and-run driver crashed into the two-wheeler, police said. The crash on De Harendonkweg in Den Bosch, Noord Brabant, was reported at 3:53 a.m. Police found the vehicle later in the morning but would not say where, Omroep Brabant reported. No details about the victim or driver were revealed, RTL stated. It is not clear if the driver is in custody. Police used social media service Twitter to appeal to the public for information, asking witnesses to contact them.
