Police to sound sirens in protest nationwide on Friday
Police officers across the country will sound their sirens for one minute at 11:59 tomorrow in protest against the lack of appreciation for their work in the Rutte II, from former Minister Ivo Opstelten of Security and Justice in particular.
Police unions Nederlandse Politie Bond (NPB) and ACP Politie Vakbond made this announcement on their websites today.
According to the unions, the unfavorable collective agreement proposals are a slap in the face of police officers. The unions call on all police employees to participate in the action and threaten that the action will be repeated every Friday for as long as the collective bargaining remains in a deadlock.
