Phone returned to Carnival crash victim's father
The police managed to locate the phone of the man whose daughter died in the Carnival accident in Ter Apel on February 14th. The phone was in the possession of a 21 year old man from Ter Apel, who was arrested on the spot.
The father, a 63 year old man from Ter Apel, lost his phone when he was injured in the same accident that killed his daughter. The phone contained photos of his daughter and the man made a public appeal in the hope that the phone would be returned to him.
The police had already started an investigation to trace the phone and succeeded last night. The phone was found in the possession of a 21 year old man, who was arrested on the spot. He was taken to the police station for questioning.
The phone will be returned to the father as soon as possible.
