The largest container ship in the world sailed into the Rotterdam port last night.

The MSC Oscar is 396 meters long, 59 meters wide and can carry 19,224 containers. The previous largest ship, CSCL Globe, can carry 19 thousand containers.

The MSC Oscar will not carry the title for long, NOS reports. According to a spokesperson for the Port of Rotterdam, work is already being done on an even larger container ship.
