Debit card scam lands four suspects in jail

The police arrested four debit card fraudsters in The Hague on Saturday around 11:15 a.m. The four were trying to sneak a peak while a customer entered a pin code and then steal the card, the police reports. A witness saw three women acting suspiciously in a shop on Theresiastraat. The witness noticed that they were trying to see what pin code an unsuspecting customer was entering. When the customer's debit card went missing, the witness raised the alarm. Police officers saw some women walk away in a hurry in the vicinity of the store. Images from cameras in the store showed that these were indeed the women who carried out the scam. The woman, aged 21, 27 and 33 years were arrested. They are from Nieuwegein, Dordrecht and Ammerzoden and have a history of thefts and scams. A 44 year old man, who presumably acted as getaway driver, was also arrested. All four suspects are in custody for questioning.
