Four arrested for FC Utrecht stick-up

Police have made four arrests in connection with the robbery at football club FC Utrecht last week.

A police spokesperson confirmed this on Tuesday, but declined to give more details on the suspects, as the investigation is still ongoing. The stick up took place on Monday January 29. A man suddenly appeared in the club's offices, held an employee at gunpoint and ordered him to open the safe. Unconfirmed reports say the man made off with about €70,000. Police said that while they initially thought it concerned just one man, their investigations showed later that there had been multiple armed men involved. They arrested three men Wednesday night; a fourth man was nabbed on Monday.
