No Royal walking tour on King's Day in Dordrecht

On April 27th Dordrecht will set the tone for a very different celebration of King's Day. A few of the old fashioned parts of the program during the royal couples visit will not take place this year. The visit will also be much shorter than before. The traditional long walking tour is one of the parts that have been excluded. This was done for security reasons with the safety of the royal family in mind. The website of the Royal House states that on April 27th, 2015 the first new style King's Day will take place in Dordrecht. King Willem-Alexander made this announcement at the annual meeting of the Royal Federation of Oranje Associations.
