Up to 8cm of snow called for Saturday
There is a big chance that it will snow on Saturday. According to the weather maps, the snowfall in the Northern Netherlands will be accompanied by strong winds.
Between 3 and 8 centimeters of snow is expected in total. The cause of this snowfall is a low pressure area that will move over South Netherlands to the southeast.
Yesterday the weather forecast for the weekend was still very uncertain, but today the results of various computer models agree. A low pressure area will move over northern England, cross the North Sea and pass over southwestern Netherlands Saturday afternoon and evening.
Thus far the long term expectations predict a lot of winter weather. Next week there is a high risk of persistent wintry weather with daytime temperatures slightly above freezing and light to moderate frost at night.
