Wind whipped: gusts and hail in latest warnings

The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) has issued a code yellow warning. Strong winds of between 75 - 90 kilometer per hour are expected across the Netherlands this morning, with even stronger winds of between 100 - 110 kilometer per hour along the coast. The winds are caused by a south-westerly storm crossing the country and may be accompanied by rain and hail. The KNMI expects the storm to calm down during the course of the afternoon. The ANWB has warned motorists to be careful on the roads and says that traffic jams are likely to be longer than usual.
