Floor collapses during dorm dance party; four hurt

Four young people were slightly injured in Ede when the first floor of a dormitory collapsed during a party on Thursday night. The preliminary conclusion of the police is that the floor of the building in Notaris Fischerstraat collapsed because were jumping to music. According to the police, about twenty students fell through the first floor with the floor. The y were partying in a space of about 5 x 5 meters, which was seen as the common room. A total of about 100 people were present in different areas of the dormitory. Four people were slightly injured. One person was taken to the hospital with a broker wrist. Three others were treated on the scene with scrapes and bruises. According to one of the residents, who was outside at the time of the collapse, the dormitory is an old house and there were already some concerns about the floor. According to the student, the victims fell into the warehouse of the ice cream parlor which is situated below the dormitory. More than ten residents can not return to their home for the time being. Shelter was arranged for them on Thursday night.
