WWII Vet reburied 75 years later

Corporal Gijsbert Spandonk from Lage Zwaluwe, who died in May 1940, was reburied with military ceremony at the Military Field of Honor Grebberg in Rhenen yesterday. This was the third time that he was buried. In 1940 Spandonk was buried in Dordrecht, where he was killed. And in 1948 he was transferred to a tomb in Lage Zwaluwe. His cousins felt that it was time that he received a final resting place.
