Zeeland railroad halted after train smashes concrete block
Train traffic in Zeeland came to a complete standstill on Wednesday night after a train collided with a concrete block.
The accident happened around 22:00 p.m. somewhere between Kruiningen-Yerseke and Bergen op Zoom. No one was wounded. It is still unclear how the concrete block came to be on the track.
The train passengers were helped off the train. The train was damaged. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
The NS provided buses for travelers to use, but there was a significant delay. The normal service resumed this morning.
