Sex assault suspect turns self in after video released

On Wednesday afternoon a 24 year old man from Assen turned himself in to the police after he saw footage of himself broadcast on Opsporing Verzocht. On Tuesday night Opsporin Verzocht paid attention to the the sexual assault incident in which the suspect also stole money from an inhabitant of Assen. The man forced his victim to perform sexual acts and then stole her money. The police received several tips following the broadcast. The man recognized himself in the footage and turned himself in. The suspect has been arrested and the police are investigating.
