"NoPhone" Kickstarter campaign surpasses goal

A group of Dutch and American friends' Kickstarter campaign for their idea the NoPhone, has surpassed their goal amount. According to the Kickstarter page: "The NoPhone is a technology-free alternative to constant hand-to-phone contact that allows you to stay connected with the real world." The NoPhone weighs about 80 grams and can act as a surrogate to any smartphone, "enabling you to always have a rectangle of smooth, cold plastic to clutch without forgoing any potential engagement with your direct environment." The NoPhone is basically a rectangular piece of plastic, about the same weight, size and shape of an average smartphone. With only 10 hours to go, $16,131 has already been pledged to the campaign, far surpassing their original goal of 5 thousand dollars. The group of friends came up with the idea for the NoPhone during a night out. They realized that they were staring at their phones the entire time, only occasionally looking up to order another round of drinks
