Missing Utrecht boy, 5, found napping in barn

The missing since Wednesday afternoon Wilco Lagerweij from Cothen, was found healthy and safe in a barn at his home. According to the police, the 5 year old boy probably fell asleep. There was great alarm at 17:00 pm on Wednesday afternoon when Wilco was nowhere to be found. The police used a helicopter and sniffer dogs to search the vicinity of the farm where the boy lives. The police issued a call among more than four thousand Burgernet participants. People from the neighborhood searched the area with flashlights. In the evening a sniffer dog found something on the banks of Oude Krommerijn, 100 meters from the boy's home. Divers searched the water for a few hours. The fire brigade pumped a sail over a manure pit empty, which was filled with water, to see if the boy had fallen into the pit. Moments later Wilco was found in a nearby barn in the yard.
