Policeman erred in high speed fatal accident

Today the Public Prosecutor argued in court in Zuthpen that the police officer who caused a fatal car accident in Apeldoorn last October, violated the guidelines of the police. The Prosecutor is demanding community service of 120 hours and a license suspension of six months against the 59 year old E. van V. On October 25th lat year the police officer was on his way to a notification in a police van. According to measurements his top speed was 129 kilometers per hour. The speed limit where he was driving is 50 kilometers per hour. According to the guideline of the police you may drive a maximum of 90 kilometers per hour with siren and flashing lights. The visual and sound signals, however, were off.
