Five centuries old Breda book in online auction

The oldest book ever printed in Breda, is being auctioned by auction house Catawiki. The book was printed in 1537 and written in Latin. It is in an exceptionally good condition. Auctioneer Job Kwakman of Catawiki says that this is a very rare book. "It is estimated that in the Netherlands between 1500 and 1540 about 4,500 similar books were published. Of the 4,500 there are not many books left and the books that we still have from that time are often not in the best condition. This book is really an exception." More than 300 euro has already been offered for the book, but Kwakman expects that the amount will increase until the auction closes. The auction closes tonight at 20:00 pm.
